These terms govern the supply of heating, plumbing, bathroom, gas safety and emergency services by Surrey Heating. By placing a booking, you accept these terms.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes given by phone, WhatsApp, or website form are based on the information you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Installation quotes follow a survey and are fixed in writing. If the work required differs from what was quoted — for example, hidden pipework or unforeseen system condition — we’ll always confirm the revised price with you before proceeding.
Payment
Payment is taken in full on completion of the work. Larger installations (boilers, bathrooms, heat pumps) may be staged: deposit on booking, balance on completion — set out in the quote. We accept all major debit and credit cards (including Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, and cash. Landlord and letting-agent accounts available by arrangement.
Workmanship guarantee
Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of the work, covering the labour and installation quality of what we fitted, provided the system has not been altered, misused or worked on by others in the meantime. This sits alongside, and does not reduce, your statutory rights.
Parts and manufacturer guarantees
Parts we supply carry the manufacturer’s warranty in addition to our workmanship guarantee. Boiler manufacturer guarantees (typically 7–12 years depending on brand and installation details) require the boiler to be registered after commissioning — which we do — and serviced annually; missing a service can void the manufacturer’s cover. Consumable and wear items (washers, cartridges, filters dosed with inhibitor) are warranted against defect, not normal wear or limescale in hard-water areas.
Gas work and certification
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers, as the law requires, and is limited to the scope of our registration categories. Gas safety records (CP12) report the condition of appliances at the time of inspection only. Where an appliance is found immediately dangerous or at risk, we are required to make it safe — which can include disconnecting it — and will explain your options before leaving.
Emergency callouts
Emergency attendance is quoted as a fixed callout price before dispatch, including any out-of-hours element — no surcharges added afterwards. The callout covers attendance, diagnosis and making safe; repair work beyond that is quoted before it starts. Response times are typical figures, not guarantees, and depend on engineer location, traffic and demand.
Access and site conditions
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, and to tell us in advance of anything unusual (asbestos, restricted parking, shared water supplies). Where we must open up walls, floors or ceilings to reach pipework, we keep it to the minimum necessary; permanent redecoration is not included unless quoted.
Liability
We are insured for the work we do. Our liability to you is limited to the value of the work invoiced, except where law requires otherwise (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
