Surrey Heating (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This page explains what data we collect when you interact with us, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, and email when you contact us or book a job.
- Your address and postcode, needed to attend your property and quote accurately.
- Details about your boiler, heating system or plumbing necessary to carry out the work — including appliance details recorded on gas safety certificates.
- Standard web analytics (page views, device type, referrer) via Google Analytics 4.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the service you’ve requested.
- To contact you about your booking, send certificates, or follow up after a job.
- To send service and gas-safety renewal reminders where you’ve asked for them.
- To improve the website (anonymised analytics only).
- To comply with our legal obligations (HMRC, Gas Safe record-keeping, building-control notifications).
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data — ever.
- We don’t share your data with third parties except where strictly necessary (payment processor, parts suppliers for warranty registration, building control and Gas Safe notification bodies).
- We don’t send marketing emails unless you opt in.
Landlords and tenants
Where we carry out work in a rented property, we hold the landlord’s or agent’s contact details as our customer and the minimum tenant contact details needed to arrange access. Gas safety records name the property and appliances, and copies are provided to the landlord or agent to fulfil their legal duties.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, call or WhatsApp us on 07977 124518.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies: a session cookie for the booking form, and Google Analytics cookies for anonymised usage stats. We do not run any advertising or retargeting cookies.
